20161023 Brazilliance - Claudio Roditi, Abelita Mateus and Enrico Granafei

The words elegant, luxurious and flowing came to mind all during a beautiful night of music performed by Claudio Roditi, Abelita Mateus and Enrico Granafei. " Brazilliance" featured original compositions by the brilliant trumpeter/fluglehornist Claudio Roditi, who was accompanied on keyboards by the fabulous pianist / vocalist Abelita Mateus and the harmonica virtuoso, singer, composer Enrico Granafei. In addition there was a wonderful standard played to their luxurious melodies as Abelita sung the Girl from Ipanema and Claudio transitioned to the piano and music just flowed across the audience. Carlos Roditi kept us engaged all night long with witty stories of life and some truly, truly, elegant jazzy music. This performance was part of the Moonlight' jazz series, produced by Sanford Josephson and generously sponsored by The Bob Cole Family Fund. Performed on the wonderful and definitely one of my favorite, the ever changing Luna Stage Company, Inc. Theater..
